Demarcation Diaries
8 September 2001
This morning we started the trip down the Cuniua river in the
Zumbi. The piums start with their job at the same time and they
spent the whole day with us (and it seems that it is going to
stay that way...)
It took us four hours to arrive from Marecao to Cidade Zina,
the last Deni town of the river (or the first one depending on
your perspective). It is a village with 15 houses and about 120
people. We spent the day there sweating and we plan to star sailing
again tomorrow morning. Tomorrow we will also know which of the
Deni are going to be sailing with for the demarcation because
so far they are still changing plans.
The team is OK , the river is beautiful, the Deni are very kind
and the piums are too many.
More tommorrow.
Cuniua Team
PS: Samuel is depressed because he forgot the Corn Flakes on
the Savio. No comment from the rest of the team.
