Demarcation Diaries

12 September 2001
No demarcation today. We moved down the river looking for
a good place to land the helicopter tomorrow. We don't know
if a beach will be good enough because the sand. We are
waiting for news.

Diogo has been bitten by a piranha and lost part of his finger
(a small one). I sutured the rest of it and it looks almost ok.
We need to resupply the surgical kit now because is not sterile
anymore.
Manuel, try to bring us the surgical kit and also, if its possible,
a couple of camping mattresses because half of the team is sleeping
outside, but we can't do this when it rains.
That's all for now.
