Demarcation Diaries
 |
13 September 2001
It's a quiet day onboard the Zumbi. We ran out of demarcation
signs and we are waiting for the helicopter which is stuck
in Manaus.
|
We spent the day trying to run away from the piums. The Deni
went hunting but they were not successful.
Carlos has a fever , but it doesn't seem to be malaria. Diogo
is recovering from yesterday's piranha bite, and Petros and Samuel
are fighting their allergic reaction to the insect mutations on
their faces. In summary, crap team. I hope it will improve in
the coming days.
We decided to move down the river to the position between P13
and MC01 and make a place for the helicopter to land and at the
same time we started to clear a dried out tributary for them be
able to move more quickly. We cannot continue to wait in standby
with the piums and without anything to keep us occupied.
The team is missing information about how the campaign and the
other teams are going and also some international news from the
last few days.
That's all for now,
