Demarcation Diaries
13 September 2001
Paula, Samuel and Petros (Cuniua Team) : Carlos
has a fever, but it doesn't seem to be malaria. Diogo is recovering
from yesterday's piranha bite, and Petros and Samuel are fighting
their allergic reaction to the insect mutations on their faces.
In summary, crap team. I hope it will improve in the coming days.

Kontau (Team A) : As always,
the shooting stars are too quick for anyone to make a wish upon
seeing them. If I had the chance to make two wishes, I would have
made these two: everything will go smoothly for the demarcation
process, and to have a seafood dinner back in North Point pier
in Hong. more
Note: Volunteers and the Deni work in three different teams. Team C (Cuniuã Team) works by boat following the Coxodoã, Cuniuã and Canaçã rivers, the natural boundary of the Deni territory along the eastern perimeter. Teams A and B started at the north west tip, working away from each other, assisting the Deni in cutting a 1.5 meter path through the jungle and erecting signs identifying the Deni territory.
