Merel

My name is Merel van der Mark, and I'm 23. I'm Dutch but I grew up in Portugal and therefore speak Portuguese, which is very useful in Brazil! I have been a Greenpeace volunteer since I began my Biology studies four years ago. I have been involved in several actions like blocking big fish trawlers and pumping up radioactive seawater and shipping it back to the Netherlands.

Having the chance to work together with the Deni and really save a piece of rainforest is very special and I really look forward to it!

The Amazon is too beautiful and precious to let it be destroyed. By helping the Deni with demarcating their land, we are saving a piece of it.
