Demarcation Volunteers

Sze Pang

Hi, my name is Sze Pang but my friends in Hong Kong usually call me Kontau, meaning "Bald Head" in Chinese.

I am extremely excited (well, also a bit nervous) to be able coming to the Amazon and I will try my best to help the Deni with their demarcation. If you know anything about Hong Kong, the place I live, you would know it is a totally different world from the Amazon. I don't know how I will survive the hard work in the Amazon, but I will try my best because we are volunteering not just for ecological cause, but also for the people who are sustaining and sustained by the forest. This would be one of the most beautiful things I have ever done, I am sure.

I will also try to help spread the message home, back to Hong Kong, and possibly into China as well. This is important because China imports timber from the Amazon, and more importantly, the destruction of the Amazon will affect everyone in the world.
