Eddie McPartlin is Scottish and
a professional seaman. He joined Greenpeace after ten years in the
British Royal Navy and 30 years in the merchant navy. He joined Greenpeace
because "watching the way things have been going over many years at
sea, having travelled the world the way I have, I've seen a lot. It's
not just about oil and pollution but the way the world's being eaten
up by industrial interests and Greenpeace gave me an opportunity to
so something about it". He's worked on the campaigns including North
Sea oil, the Arctic project, overfishing, and British Columbian forests.
