Small non-farm businesses in Australia's drought- afflicted regions are being forced to close down as a result of the economic downturn in these areas. A recent survey suggests that 70 percent of businesses in these regions have experienced an average revenue drop of 28 percent, 25 percent of them had to cut staff, and as many as a third have gone out of business.
