GREENPEACE: Climate Change and River Flooding

3. GCM PROJECTIONS AND GLOBAL TRENDS IN RAINFALL

In recent years, an impressive pile of reports has been published on changes in the climate as predicted by GCMs. An effort has been made here to extract the most recent information. After describing some of their characteristics, the review starts with the findings of transient global climate simulations and relevant results of mixed-layer models. (Results of regional-scale modelling will be summarised separately.) To compare, information on trends in rainfall on the global scale is given.
