23rd June 1996. - Greenpeace inflatables drop swimmers off near the industrial fishing vessel OMEGA, to prevent its
access to sensitive fishing areas. The ship steams directly at them however, eventually running them over.

25th June 1996. Another industrial fishing vessel, this time the THINGHOLT, responds in a similar way
when confronted by three Greenpeace 'swimmers' - It's full steam ahead.

26th June 1996. Whilst passively trying to prevent Danish industrial fishing vessels from operating on the Wee Bankie, activists were frequently the target for various distress flares and rockets. Here, an inflatable beats a hasty retreat from alongside the PAPILLON as a flare explodes, but is caught by another which burns in the inflatable until it can be thrown overboard.

24th June 1996. The industrial fishing crews threw grappling hooks to catch inflatables and even the SIRIUS itself. In this case an activist frees an inflatable whilst under fire from the AQUARIUS II.

23rd-28th June 1996. Heavy Industry -
The Industrial Fishery lands over a million tonnes of fish from the North Sea each year - more than half of all the fish caught. As the name implies,
fish are caught on an industrial scale, the ships are large and the tiny Sandeel, is hoovered from ultra fine nets in vast quantities.

24th June 1996. This Danish vessel staged this collision to make it appear that the SIRIUS rammed it. In fact Sirius Master Jon Castle did everything he could to avoid a collision.
