The
Esperanza arrives in Cape Town
Yesterday the Greenpeace ship MV Esperanza
arrived in Cape Town to support our delegation at the Earth
Summit in Johannesburg.
Today fresh supplies are being brought on
board, some new crew members have arrived to join the ship
and preparations are being made leave port again soon.
I am one of the people to join the ship in
Cape Town. It's my first time in South Africa and my first
time aboard the Esperanza. Very exciting. There are over thirty
people on board so I've got a lot of names to learn!
My job over the next few weeks will be to
keep the website updated with news from the Esperanza. I've
parked my laptop in a corner of the radio room, I've got a
digital camera, and an MP3 recorder so
stay tuned
