A
storm is brewing
The Esperanza continues on the transit from
Cape Town to Durban.
Late this afternoon we witnessed a huge cold
front coming up fast behind us. It came upon us at an amazing
speed bringing lightning and heavy rain.
Last night, as I was whistling to myself
on the bridge, Arne the captain warned me of an old seafarers
superstition that whistling on a ship should be avoided because
it means you are whistling for wind. Let's hope it is only
superstition.
