Hola …this is Serkan from Greenpeace Mediterranean ...i have been volunteer of Turkish office for two years and working on Greenpeace ships as a deckhand.

It was my dream sailing on the Greenpeace ships and it came true…working on the deck is so amazing, feeling the wind on your working body staring at the stunning colours of the sea and the clouds…atlantic!!

The trip from Istanbul to Cape Town was beautiful covering lovely memories , especially passing the equator from north to south thinking of one world…

I am feeling so lucky for coming to earth summit in South Africa after getting involved in WTO meeting in Quatar last November. Believing that all human beings have a right to live in a safe environment with fresh air and clean water…but some of the so-called developed countries have been ignoring the basic principles of existence!!! Right to live freely,equally and fairly….for all of us……

And now we are here for earth summit..this is the exact platform to demand safe and sustainable development on social,environmental and economic issues with creating solutions and putting them into practice in international,national and regional level.
