The road from Rio to Johannesburg

First stop - click for more information. Fifth stop - click for information Third stop - click for more information. In the lead up to the Johannesburg Earth summit Greenpeace is documenting, through the road map above, the empty promises that were made at the Rio Earth summit 10 years ago. We will visit sites around the world to document hot spots, publicise people's stories who live there and provide solutions to these problems. The map kicks off in Porto Alegre, Brazil, which is close to Rio de Janeiro, where the Earth Summit originally took place in 1992. Click on a point on the map to learn more about each area and take part in the worldwide cyberactions.
