WHAT YOU CAN DO

  1. Replace ancient forests products Use products from second growth forests or plantations. Seek FSC-certified products. Replace with non-wood products such as tree-free papers and environmentally friendly building materials.|
  2. Recycle and use recycled products Purchasing recycled products keeps the system going, and the need for virgin fiber input is therefore gradually reduced. Tree-free fibers such as straw and hemp can also be used in recycled.
  3. Re-use wood Use both sides of office paper. Concrete moulding plywood panels or wooden pallets need not be thrown away after a single use.
  4. Reduce wood and paper consumption
  5. Re-think wood use Is the project really necessary at all? Use in the best way- for example durable hardwoods are best used outdoors.
