International Bodies
The homepage of the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity gives an introduction to the history and background of the Convention and the Biosafety Protocol. It contains the reports and decisions of the Conference of Parties on the Biosafety Protocol as well as the draft negotiating text.
BIOBIN is a joint project of the OECD and UNIDO and provides an overview on regulatory developments in OECD and UNIDO member states. You can look up regulations in more than 30 countries around the world
The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology provides a searchablöe database of scientific literature on biosafety.
A comprehensive database on imports, exports and production of all food and feed crops worldwide is maintained by the FAO.
The Consultative group on International Agricultural Research is an international network of 16 research centres on the different major crops of the world, who provide a wealth of information on their respective research and projects.
National Bodies
An overview on international, EU and national issues on Biosafety is provided by the Belgian Biosafety Server.

The OECD provides a comprehensive overview on national biosafety web-sites.

The Third World Network has been especially active following the Biosafety Protocol negotiations.
