Fill the ancient forest treasure chests!

Ancient forests are the earth's treasure chests. A huge number of animals and plants, many of which we don't even know about, live there. If the ancient forests are destroyed, these treasures will be lost forever, as will places where millions of people live and have their home. For this reason, Greenpeace thinks big treasure chests are a good way to take our message to the politicians. At the moment the treasure chests are still empty...

But that will change in the next few months - the chests need to be filled with "ancient forest treasures". Into them should go everything you, using your imagination, connect with ancient forests, which must be preserved at all costs. You can make all kinds of ancient forest treasures: paintings, drawings, poems, sculptures, music - whatever you can come up with. The treasure might include a big ancient forest banner, a fat papier-mâché elephant, leaves of plants written all over, an ancient forest poem, and so on. After all, in the ancient forests there are great huge species and miniscule tiny ones. When Greenpeace gets your treasures, they will be put into a big treasure chest, and transported by ship to Malaysia because the politicians are getting together there in February at a UN conference about protecting the diversity of life. We think they should take responsibility for the future of the earth's treasure chests.

And now to the tricky question: Will they take action, as "keepers of the treasure", to fully protect the last big ancient forest areas? Or will they put the vast diversity of species in the ancient forests at risk? With your help we will remind them of their responsibility.

Important!
Send all the ancient forest treasures you make, paint, make poems about ... to the Greenpeace's office in your country (link to NRO addresses) by January 1st at the latest. There is no Greenpeace office in your country? Then send your contribution to:
