My name is Luciana, I'm from Argentina and I live in Buenos Aires. I'm 26 years old, and I've been working for Greenpeace for 6 years now.
I joined Greenpeace because I saw that lots of things are going wrong in the world, the planet is being damaged and contaminated in a terrible way, and felt the necessity to do something.
When I am in Buenos Aires I live with my family and I study veterinary science. I am also a volunteer in the Greenpeace Argentina action team. Now I'm onboard the Arctic Sunrise as a deckhand, which basically means that we have to be "available" at any time to do any kind of stuff.
The good thing about being a "decky" is that you don't have many responsibilities, the bad thing is that everybody on board is your "boss". Anyway, the crew is my "international" family and the ship is my second home.
