Hi, my name is Freddy and I live in the city, Mar del Plata, a summer beach in Argentina. I live with my love, Laura and my two kids, Lautaro (6yrs) and Lucila (2yrs) and my little dog Ceres.
I'm the 3rd engineer and electrician, so where you see the sparks, there's me. Before this job I worked on big crude tankers. I got tired of being a puppet on fingers of shipowners, whose economical benefits go against any true environmental policy.
This is my first time on a Greenpeace vessel. I love being part of something constructive. Ahhh, and I love the two guitars we have on board too.
About the forests?... I think it's the same with all the nature's life that we want to preserve. The problem is the consumption. As we turn ancient forests into commodities, we take life away from our big mother, Planet Earth, or Pachamama as the Incas and myself like to name her.
I live in a forest reserve in Mar del Plata and I miss that place.
