I grew up in the highlands in Turkey which has no trees. All I remember from my childhood is barren mountains. My father told me stories of being a child, and how he was scared of going into the wild forest. Now there is no forest, no rain, no rivers anymore in those mountains. I don't want children to grow up hearing the stories of forests.
I don't want children to hear "once upon a time there was a forest..."
