The transport of nuclear materials takes place at every
stage of the nuclear fuel cycle. These transports take
place by sea, rail, road and air. They involve
significant and unjustifiable risks to human health and
the environment.
The hazards posed by nuclear transports are yet another
reason why communities, environmentalists and politicians
around the world oppose nuclear power and reprocessing.
