History with Greenpeace: Before this I was with the Greenpeace Germany action unit as a volunteer for two years.

The Esperanza is my first Greenpeace ship, but I have also sailed on traditional sailing ships.

In addition, I worked for the Greenpeace forests campaign on a national park project (a 'buche' forest). I researched, distributed information and did surveying for illegal logging.

How came to work with Greenpeace: As a nurse I spent a lot of time trying to help people. Because of what I saw as a nurse, I came to believe that with a damaged environment you can't have healthy people or communities.

I chose Greenpeace because I like the history, and the ideas, and the fact that the work of this organization can really bring a change.

Best thing about the Esperanza: I like the way she behaves in strong weather.
