I am old enough to know better. That's why I'm here.

Already I have seen many changes to our freedom, and the wilderness I have been privileged to enjoy. Ancient forests in BC where I once lived have been razed to the ground. Many people in their daily lives are too busy to find out what is occurring outside their own home and workplace.

Working with Greenpeace, we can witness and record information to help others be aware of what is going on around them - so they have the information to choose for themselves whether to buy an endangered species of wood, to lose the possible knowledge of undiscovered medicines in areas such as the Amazon, to make more animals extinct by ruining their habitat, and more importantly to ask some questions.

Cooking for a multinational crew is a challenge, I like to describe my type of food as "primitive fusion" using basic ingredients from wherever we are and making up dishes with what we have. But also there is a great opportunity to learn about customs and traditions from many cultures. Together with these peoples of the world we can work towards a sustainable future.

"No mind is a powerful mind, a strong mind, unless it is also a seeking mind. The seeking mind finds truths and applies them to life and the problems of the world".
- Warriors of the Rainbow, Willoya & Brown.
