Nationality: British but currently living in Egypt
History with Greenpeace: My first experience with
Greenpeace was on the Lyng GMO action in the UK where we
destroyed part of a field of GM maize. The court case that
followed involved living with many activists from Greenpeace
UK for six weeks, and at the end of the case (where we were
found Not Guilty of criminal damage) it seemed natural to
continue working with them. I have worked as an industrial
climber in the UK for two years and now find myself involved
with climbing actions with various Greenpeace offices throughout
Europe. This is my first time on the Rainbow Warrior and
I am really excited to be on the ship and to learn a little
about sailing.
Favourite Forest or Best Tree Experience: Living
in one of several tree camps at Lyminge Forest, Kent, UK
in order to stop the land being developed.
