DOWN
TO ZERO BOAT TOUR
Regular Updates from the Crew aboard the Ship, MV Greenpeace.
In
the Arctic there are no chemical plants, neither is there any polluting
agriculture. Only very few people live in the area and they survive
on what nature offers them. They hunt, fish and collect food in what
looks like pristine surroundings. But, the people and the wildlife in
the Arctic are in danger because of our pollution. The same is true
for the whales that live in the oceans and animals living in mountain
areas like the Alps. The toxic chemicals threatening them came a long
way. The sources can be found here in Europe. The "Down to Zero"
Boat Tour from the Arctic to the Mediterranean aims to highlight areas
which are badly affected by this pollution and its sources in Europe.
