A comparison of organic with industrial farming reveals that organic agriculture is significantly better for the environment than its industrial counterpart. Case studies show improvements in a wide range of factors, including nutrient leaching, pesticide pollution, energy use, and diversity of wildlife. Studies also show that organic types of agriculture are technically and economically viable, and that they can produce sufficient food to meet people's needs.
