Greenpeace launched its webpage on plutonium reprocessing
schedules for la Hague and Sellafield. The information contained
in these tables is considered by the plutonium industry to be
utterly confidential.
Each entry reveals the amount of plutonium each reactor and
utility will have produced during 1998. Greenpeace is committed
to providing the information to you for this year and for future
years, into the 21st Century. Only through understanding the
illogical plans of the reprocessing companies and their clients -
the electrical utilities - will we stand a chance of closing them
down.
Remember many of these utilities are the largest producers of
electricity in the world - your computer at this moment could be powered by electric
utilities named int these reports. If you live in Japan, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany,
the UK, France, Sweden, the Netherlands, or any country that
imports electricity from these countries, then it is very
possible that your nearest utility is producing plutonium on
your behalf.
The source for some of the information in this website is the Draft report by NAC
International, World Reprocessing Summary, 1995; the report was provided to Greenpeace
anonymously in late 1997.
